 A tasty dish prepared from rava & idli batter mixed with luscious masala gravy.Paniyaram also known as Kuzhi Paniyaram are savory, spiced dumplings made from rice and urad dal batter or Idli Batter, onions, spices and herbs with an occasional addition of fresh coconut. It is a delicacy from South Indian cuisine and makes for a good way to utilize leftover idli batter. They are vegan and can be made gluten-free by skipping the asafoetida in the recipe.

Ingredients for Kuzhi Paniyaram Recipe

  • 1 Nos tomato
  • 2 Nos onion
  • 2 Nos carrots
  • 2 Nos green chillies
  • As required Few fresh coriander leaves
  • 1.50 cup idli batter
  • 1 cup rava
  • 50 milliliter curd
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • As required Olive oil
  • 2 Nos tomatoes
  • 1 inch Nos One ginger
  • 5 Nos garlic cloves
  • None Few coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
  • 8 Nos garlic
  • 1 Nos green chilli
  • 1/4 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon kasoori methi

Directions: Kuzhi Paniyaram Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Grind and make a paste of sliced tomatoes,ginger,garlic cloves and some coriander leaves.

step 2

  • STEP 2.For batter-in a bowl add idli batter,rava,curd, turmeric powder,1 chopped onion and tomato.

step 3

  • STEP 3.Add chopped carrots,coriander leaves,2 green chillies, ½ tbsp salt,¼ glass of water.

  • STEP 4.Mix well and leave for 15 mins.

  • STEP 5.Cooking directions for paniyaram

  • STEP 1.add olive oil in a appe pan and heat it.

step 8

  • STEP 1.now add prepared batter, flip and fry for 5 mins at medium flame.

  • STEP 6.Cooking directions for masala

  • STEP 1.add 2 tsp olive oil in a pan & heat it.

  • STEP 1.now add cumin seeds, minced garlic, chopped green chili and chopped onion.

  • STEP 7.3.add tbsp salt and saute for 2 mins.

  • STEP 8.4.add 1 tsp turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder,red chilli powder

step 14

  • STEP 9.5.then add grinded paste and saute well for 3 mins at medium flame.

step 15

  • STEP 10.6.add half glass of water,add ¼ tbsp salt.

step 16

  • STEP 11.7.mix well and cook for a min.

step 17

  • STEP 12.8.now add 1 tbsp kasoori methi,few coriander leaves and fried paniyaram.

step 18

  • STEP 13.9.mix well and cook for a minute.
