The Szechuan peppercorns and chilli flakes add some spice to the prawns while the cashew nuts add a crunchy texture to the dish

Ingredients for Kung Pao Prawns Recipe
- 400 gram Large raw prawns
- 1 teaspoon Cornflour
- 2 tablespoon Light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon White Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Tomato puree
- 1 teaspoon Castor sugar
- 85 gram Unsalted roasted peanuts
- 3 No.s Whole dried red chillies roughly chopped
- 10 gram Ginger finely chopped
- 2 Garlic cloves finely chopped Nos

How to Make Kung Pao Prawns Recipe
STEP 01
1.in a bowl place 400 gm large raw prawns that have been shelled and deveined.
STEP 02
2. Add 1 tbsp light soy sauce and mix together.
STEP 03
3. Then add 1 tsp cornflour and again mix thoroughly. keep aside for 10 minutes.
STEP 04
4. In a small mixing bowl combine 1 tbsp soy sauce ,1 tsp castor sugar, 2 tbsp white vinegar, 1 tbsp tomato puree, 2 tbsp water and mix together well to make a sauce.

5. Heat a wok on high heat till hot and then add 1 tbsp oil.
STEP 06
6. Add the prawns and stir fry till light golden. Then remove and keep aside.
STEP 07
7. In the wok heat another 1 tbsp oil, add 85 gm unsalted roasted peanuts, 3 roughly chopped dried red chillies, 10 gm finely chopped ginger, 2 finely chopped cloves of garlic and stir fry for a few seconds.
STEP 08
8. At this stage add the prepared sauce mixture and stir.
STEP 09
9. Bring to a boil and add the fried prawns.
STEP 10
10. Stir fry for a minute and turn off the heat.
STEP 11
11. Transfer to a dish and serve hot.
