Chicken starters with a variety of sauces in them are irresistibly delicious and flavourful. Especially when it comes to Chinese chicken starters, we all expect tender and succulent chicken pieces dunked in a flavourful sauce. One such chicken starter is kung pao chicken. The dish is believed to have derived its name from the late Qing dynasty official and governor of the Sichuan province- Ding Baozhen. This delicious chicken dish is prepared from a fusion of sauces, shallots and vinegar. This recipe has a strong flavour that is sweet, sour, savoury and with the signature tingle of heat from Sichuan pepper. The chicken pieces are first cut to cubes, marinated with some sauces and then sauteed with a mixture of sauces and finally served with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and spring onions.
