  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil

  • 1/4 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • as needed For Tempering
  • 1/4 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • as per your need A Few Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 Dried Red Chilies
  • as per your need Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Directions: Kundapur Style Spicy Mutton Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate the mutton pieces with turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and bay leaves. Saute for a minute.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and saute until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and curry leaves. Cook for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add the marinated mutton and cook until it changes color.
  • STEP 6.Add coconut paste, tamarind pulp, water, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 7.Pressure cook for 4-5 whistles or until the mutton is tender.
  • STEP 8.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and dried red chilies. Saute for a minute.
  • STEP 9.Pour the tempering over the cooked mutton curry and mix well.
  • STEP 10.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or neer dosa.
