Kongnamul Japchae Recipe

An easy soybean sprout japchae. a Korean dish made with sweet potato starch noodles called dangmyeon (당면). The traditional dish includes thin strips of beef and various vegetables, but there are many variations! Depending on the main ingredient accompanying the noodles, the variations are called buchu (garlic chives) japchae, beoseot (mushroom) japchae, gochu (chili peppers) japchae, ueong (burdock root) japchae, kongnamul (soybean sprouts) japchae, etc.

Ingredients for Kongnamul Japchae Recipe

  • 340 gram soybean sprouts
  • 110 gram cellophane noodles
  • 1/2 cup Onion
  • 0.33 cup Garlic chives
  • 1/5 cup red hot pepper
  • 2 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic
  • 0.33 teaspoon hot pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • As required Salt

Directions: Kongnamul Japchae Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1. Boil the soybean sprouts. Boil 4 oz of noodles.

step 2

  • STEP 2.In a pan, roast onions, add soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic and cook.

step 3

  • STEP 3.2. Now add the onions, chives and hot pepper powder and garnish sesame seeds.
