  • 0.33 cup Rice Flour
  • 0.33 Onion, Chopped
  • 0.67 tablespoon Oil
  • 0.33 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 0.33 teaspoon Urad Dal

  • 0.17 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak horse gram lentils in water for a few hours and grind them into a smooth paste.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, and chopped onions.
  • STEP 3.Add the lentil paste, salt, turmeric powder, and mix well. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  • STEP 4.In a separate bowl, mix rice flour, salt, and water to form a soft dough.
  • STEP 5.Take small portions of the dough and shape them into small dumplings.
  • STEP 6.Steam the dumplings in a steamer for about 10-15 minutes or until cooked.
  • STEP 7.Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.

  • Make sure to soak the lentils for a few hours to soften them before grinding.
