  • 1/2 nos * Carrot – large
  • As required Cut into chunks
  • 9 nos * Beans – –
  • As required cut into halves
  • 1/2 nos * Potato – large
  • As required peeled and cubed
  • 200 g * Chicken (bone-in preferred) –
  • 1 cups * Water – ½(adjust as needed)
  • As required * Aashirvaad Salt as per taste
  • As required * Black pepper powder – ½ tsp
  • As required * Cumin powder – ¼ tsp
  • As required * Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
  • As required * Aashirvaad Tumeric Powder - ¼ tsp

Directions: Kolkata's Dacres Lane Chicken Stew Recipe

  • STEP 1.At first, heat butter in a deep pot over medium flame. Then add cinnamon stick, green cardamom, and cloves. Sauté for a few seconds until fragrant. Add carrots, beans, whole onions, potatoes, and chicken pieces. Stir well in the butter and spices for about 3–4 minutes until the chicken turns slightly white. Pour in water. Add Aashirvaad salt, black pepper powder, cumin powder, Aashirvaad tumeric powder and cardamom powder. Mix gently. Bring to a boil, then reduce the flame to low. Cover and simmer for 25–30 minutes until the chicken and vegetables are tender. Adjust salt and pepper if needed. For a richer flavor, stir in 1 tsp butter at the end.
