Needless to say, Korean cuisine is one of the most popular cuisines in the world due to its punchy and delectable flavours. One of the foods that make Korean cuisine one of the most flavourful cuisines is Kimchi. A fermented delicacy usually made with cabbage along with some seasonings like sugar, salt, onion, garlic, ginger and chilli peppers, Kimchi is one of the prime ingredients that constitute some delicious Korean dishes. One of these dishes is Kimchi fried rice. It’s a very easy, quick fried rice prepared with kimchi, gochujang & eggs. This fried rice is made by stir-frying Kimchi and rice together with some seasonings. It's classic Korean comfort food that's made in households across the country to use up leftover rice and overripe Kimchi. You can whip this dish up when you are craving a filling, healthy and flavourful dish and relish it with it a half-fried egg on top.

Ingredients for Kimchi Fried Rice Recipe

  • 2 Nos garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 6 tablespoon Kimchi
  • 1 tablespoon Gochujang
  • 4 tablespoon frozen seafood
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoon kimchi juice
  • 500 gram Rice
  • 2 Nos eggs
  • As required Scallions

Steps To Prepare

  • STEP 1.Clean and rinse the rice 2-3 times under running water.
  • STEP 2.Boil the rice till it's cooked.

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Add oil in a pan and heat it. Add minced garlic and saute it.
  • STEP 2.Now add kimchi and gochujang along with seafood and fry it for 30 seconds.
  • STEP 3.Then add rice followed by kimchi juice & fish sauce.
  • STEP 4.Push the rice in one corner of the pan and fry one egg in 1 tsp of oil.
  • STEP 5.Once omelette is ready, then mix it thoroughly with rice. Add salt, pepper as per taste and garnish it with fresh scallions and furikake.
