Ingredients for khoba roti Recipe

  • 1/2 cup 1 /4cup
  • 1/4 cup Ragi flour
  • 1/4 cup Bajra
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chopped mint leaves
  • 1/2 tbsp Dry methi leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp ajwain
  • 1 tablespoon ghee plus more for drizzle
  • 1/2 g Hot Water for kneading stiff dough

How to Make Khoba Roti Recipe

STEP 01

Making Khoba Roti:

STEP 02

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, mint leaves , methi leaves,red chilli powder,salt,ajwain, and 2 tablespoons of ghee.

STEP 03

Rub the flour between fingers to mix well. Make sure all the flour is coated well with the ghee.

STEP 04

Add some water to knead a stiff dough.

STEP 05

Dust the work surface with some dry flour, and roll the dough into a thick circle .

STEP 06

Slash with a knife on one side.

STEP 07

Flip it around and beginning from the center and moving outwards, pinch the surface of the roti to make a design on the roti.

STEP 08

Heat a pan over low heat, place the roti design side up and cook over low heat.

STEP 09

When one side is cooked and light golden brown, carefully turn the roti over and cook on the other side.
