Ingredients for Khichuri Recipe

  • 200 gram moong dal
  • 200 gram gobindobhog rice
  • 200 gram potato chunks
  • 200 gram cauliflower florets
  • 100 gram tomatoes quartered
  • 80 gram Peas
  • 2 gram cumin seeds
  • 3 piece Cardamom
  • 1 piece Cinnamon
  • 3 piece Cloves
  • 3 piece dried red chillies
  • 4 piece bay leaves
  • 40 gram ginger paste
  • 40 gram grated coconut
  • 5 gram turmeric powder
  • 5 gram cumin powder
  • 25 gram Salt
  • 50 gram Sugar
  • 5 piece green chillies
  • 10 gram Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 20 gram vegetable oil
  • 15 gram mustard oil
  • 1.80 liter Hot water

Directions: Khichuri Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Wash the rice thoroughly

  • STEP 2.Leave it to dry

step 3

  • STEP 3.Dry roast the dal for 6mins

step 4

  • STEP 4.Rinse the dal and allow to dry

step 5

  • STEP 5.Make a paste of ginger paste,turmeric powder,cumin powder and water

  • STEP 6.Heat a pan with vegetable oil

step 7

  • STEP 7.Add the rice and fry well

  • STEP 8.Set aside

step 9

  • STEP 9.Add potatoes and fry until golden

step 10

  • STEP 10.Add the cauliflower and fry ,set aside

  • STEP 11.Heat mustard oil and temper with dried red chilies, bay leaves,cardamom,cinnamon,cloves,cumin seeds

  • STEP 12.Add grated coconut and fry well

  • STEP 13.Add the paste prepared and fry for 8 mins

  • STEP 14.Add little water and tomatoes

  • STEP 15.Add the rice and dal

  • STEP 16.Add green chilies and mix well

  • STEP 17.Add hot water and mix well

  • STEP 18.Add the fried potatoes and cauliflower

  • STEP 19.Cover and boil for 15mins

  • STEP 20.Add sugar and peas

  • STEP 21.Mix well and add ghee,garam masala
