STEP 1.Take a pan heat some oil in it and add a spoon of cumin seeds, half teaspoon asafoetida, 2 finely chopped green chillies, 1-1.5 inch of finely chopped ginger and stir well.
STEP 2.Now add a cup of onions, a spoon of turmeric, red chilli powder and fry it. add 2 diced potatoes and saute it well. Add pieces of raw mango and peas and stir well. Add some salt to taste. mix well. Close the lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
STEP 3.Add washed rice and tur dal and mix properly. Add a teaspoon of sugar and water and stir well. Make a boil.
STEP 1.Also, add some ghee and close the lid and cook for 15-20 minutes. In between open the lid and stir. Cook it well. Khichdi is ready.
