Ingredients for Khatti Meethi Toor Dal Recipe

  • 0.33 cup Dal
  • 0.33 Pieces Tomato finely chopped
  • 1 Pieces 3-4 g
  • A Few Few curry leaves
  • 0.17 tsp Turmeric powder
  • As Required Red chilli powder as per taste
  • 0.17 tsp jeera
  • 0.17 tsp Mustard seeds
  • A Pinch A pinch of garam masala powder
  • A Pinch Pinch of hing
  • 0.67 tbsp Oil
  • 1.33 tbsp Finely chopped raw mango
  • 0.67 tbsp Jaggery
  • to taste Salt
  • A Handful Some finely chopped Coriander Leaves

Directions: Khatti Meethi Toor Dal Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the dal for atleast 1/2 an hour. In a pressure cooker add oil and add jeera, rai, curry leaves, slit green chillies and hing. As it crackles,add the dal along with 3 cup of water. Add chopped tomato, chopped raw mango, haldi powder, red chilli powder, jaggery and salt and cook till 3 whistles.
  • STEP 2.Once done.. Blend it with hand blender. If it's too thick add water to adjust the consistency. Add garam masala and chopped coriander and give it a boil and serve hot with rice..
  • STEP 3.U can also put tadka later..
