  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp
  • 1/4 cup Water

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Boil the potatoes until they are cooked through. Peel and cut them into cubes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and saut茅 until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and saut茅 for a minute. Then add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 4.Add tamarind pulp and water. Stir and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • STEP 5.Add the boiled potato cubes and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the potatoes are coated with the gravy.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • Adjust the amount of tamarind pulp according to your taste preference for tanginess.
  • You can add a pinch of sugar to balance the tanginess of the dish.
  • For a spicier version, increase the amount of red chili powder or add green chilies.
