Ingredients for Khata Recipe

  • 2 teaspoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 5 Curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 cup Diced Tomatoes
  • As required Salt
  • 2 sliced green chilies
  • 0.33 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 4-5 Dates
  • 2 teaspoon Jaggery
  • 1/2 teaspoon jeera powder

Directions: Khata Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat the pan with 2 tsp oil. Fry the mustard seeds, curry leaves and sliced green chilies.
  • STEP 2.Add 1 tsp ginger paste along with the diced tomatoes, cook until the tomatoes become mushy.
  • STEP 3.Add salt to taste, ⅓ tsp turmeric powder along with 4 to 5 dates and stir.
  • STEP 4.Next, add 2 tsp jaggery and mix well. Then, add a cup of water and cook for 10 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add jeera powder ½ tsp, mix well and it will be ready to serve.
