Khao Swe consists of boiled egg noodles and pieces of curried chicken smothered in a creamy coconut-milk-and-chicken soup. Often garnished with fried beans, raw onions, chillies, crips noofles and the slices of hard boiled eggalong with some zesty lemon and fish sauce this recipe makes a cut to your part meny due to its aroma and delightful flavours.

Ingredients for Khao Swe Recipe

  • 2 medium size Onion
  • 4-5 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Turmeric
  • 2 tspRed chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 cup Carrots
  • 1/2 cup Mixed bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup Broccoli
  • 1/2 cup French beans
  • As required Salt
  • 600 milliliter coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon water 500 ml gram flour
  • As required Noodles
  • As required Fried noodles
  • As required Fried onions
  • As required Fresh coriander
  • As required Fresh spring onion greens
  • As required Lemon wedges

Directions: Khao Swe Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Boil water in a cooking pan and add salt and oil to it. Add in the noodles to the pan and boil for 6-7 minutes.

  • STEP 1.Rinse the noodles with cold water or running water. Pour few drops of oil and blend with noodles to avoid it from protruding to every different.

  • STEP 1.In a mixing jar add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, turmeric powder, red flavoring, and oil, grind into a fine paste and add one tsp coriander powder and jeera powder.

  • STEP 1.Heat oil during a cooking pan, add within the onion paste and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the veggies, salt to style, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add coconut milk 600 millilitre, combine well and convey to a boil.

  • STEP 1.Meanwhile take a separate bowl and add besan and water mixture, mix well, pass it through a sieve and raise the soup. Boil and cook any for 8-10 minutes.

  • STEP 1.Assembling- lace the stewed noodles during a bowl, pour the recent soup, and prime it with some cooked crushed peanuts, contemporary onion slices, cooked noodles, cooked onions, freshly shredded coriander leaves, and onion greens, lemon wedges on the aspect could elevate the flavor.
