A simple Gujarati khandvi with tempering but it's way of making is quite tricky.

Ingredients for Khandvi Recipe

  • As required Oil  for cooking
  • 2 tablespoon Mustard oil
  • 6 No.s Curry leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1 cup Water
  • 50 gram Gram flour
  • 1 cup Curd

Directions: Khandvi Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1. Take a bowl and add a cup of curd and two cups of water and whisk the curd properly.  make sure its flowy in consistently.

step 2

  • STEP 2.Now add part by part gram flour, and keep stirring. Whisk nicely. Make sure there are no lumps.

step 3

  • STEP 3.2. Now add salt to taste,  turmeric powder,  green chillies, add water as required, the paste is ready.

step 4

  • STEP 4.1. Take a pan and add the mixture in the pan, and keep stirring to cook. Cook till it becomes thick in consistency.

step 5

  • STEP 5.2. Take a plate and spread the mixture on the plate and let it set and then cut into pieces as desired.

step 6

  • STEP 6.3. Roll the khandvi

  • STEP 7.S into a roll and keep aside. Make as many as you want.

  • STEP 8.For tempering -

  • STEP 9.Take some oil in a pan, let it heat and then add mustard seeds , sesame seeds and curry leaves. Take off the flame and mix well now pour this temper on the khandvi
