  • 1/2 cup Basmati rice
  • 2 tablespoon Milk to grind
  • 700 milliliter Milk to cook rice
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • As required Saffron strands A few

How to Make Kesar Pista Phirni Recipe

Soak ¼ cup basmati rice for 1 hour.

Add ¼ cup soaked basmati rice into a food processor and add 2 tbsp milk. Pulse to make a coarse grainy paste.

Pour 700ml milk into a saucepan over medium heat. Add a few strands of saffron, ¾ cup sugar and 1 tsp cardamom powder.

Add the ground rice paste and keep stirring till the rice thickens and cooks. Stir continuously.

Add 2 tbsp chopped almonds and 2tbsp chopped pistachios. Mix well. Turn off the heat. Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron.
