  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • as needed A Few Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Clean and devein the prawns, and marinate them with turmeric powder and salt.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and curry leaves.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until fragrant. Then, add the marinated prawns and cook until they turn pink.
  • STEP 4.Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, and vinegar. Mix well and cook for a few more minutes.
  • STEP 5.Remove from heat and let it cool. Transfer the pickle to a sterilized jar and store in a cool, dry place.
  • STEP 6.Serve the chemmeen pickle as a side dish with rice, roti, or any meal of your choice.
