  • 4 tablespoon All purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chopped green onions or regular onions
  • 1 cup Shopped celery
  • 1 cup Chopped green pepper
  • 14.50 ounce 2 cans diced tomatoes
  • 14 ounce 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 cup Fresh or frozen sliced okra optional
  • 1 cup Chopped cooked ham or chicken
  • 1 cup Sliced andouille or smoked sausage
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning my recipe for cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1/2-3/4 cup Your favorite rice long grain, brown, quick cooking
  • drop Couple drops hot sauce or you can add a jalapeno chopped if you want it really hot
  • 1-1.50 cup Fresh or frozen shrimp
