  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Clean and wash the crabs thoroughly. Remove the top shell and break the crabs into halves.
  • STEP 2.Marinate the crabs with turmeric powder, red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Saute until the seeds crackle.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown. Then, add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft.
  • STEP 5.Add the marinated crabs to the pan and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
  • STEP 6.Add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Add water and cover the pan. Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the crabs are cooked and the masala thickens.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
