Ingredients for Kaya Jam Recipe

  • 4-5 Nos eggs
  • 200 gram Sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk
  • 3 Nos pandan leaves(tie it into a knot0
  • 1.50 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1.50 tablespoon Water
  • 50-75 gram Caramel

Directions: Kaya Jam Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a bowl add egg yolk,coconut cream,coconut milk,sugar and whisk it well and then strain it.

step 2

  • STEP 2.1.in a saucepan add egg mixture,pandan leaves and heat it at medium to low flame.

step 3

  • STEP 3.2.continuously stir the mixture until they are cooked

step 4

  • STEP 4.3.now add the cornstarch mixture and stir to combine well.

step 5

  • STEP 5.4.then melt the sugar, caramel separately in a saucepan until it becomes golden brown.

step 6

  • STEP 6.5.transfer the melted caramel to the kaya sauce,mix,and turn off the flame when it turns golden brown

step 7

  • STEP 7.6.now let the kaya jam cool down,discard the pandan leaves and blend the kaya jam for a smooth consistency.

step 8

  • STEP 8.7.transfer it into a jam and can be stored in fridge for a week
