 Easy and quick recipe to prepare.This is a type of a quick japanese dessert of old-fashioned Japanese sponge cake prepared from milk, egg mixture, honey and bread flour.Made up of many ingredients.This recipe is a kind of wagashi originally developed in Japan based on the "Nanban confectionery".

Ingredients for Kasutera Recipe

  • 7 eggs, room temperature
  • 1.25 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 1.50 cup bread flour

Directions: Kasutera Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat the oven to 370c
  • STEP 2.Beat eggs with sugar in 3 parts for 10mins
  • STEP 3.In a bowl mix milk and honey, heat lukewarm to melt the honey
  • STEP 4.Stif the bread flour and set aside
  • STEP 5.Add half of mik mixture with egg mixture and add breadflour
  • STEP 6.Give a good mix by hand with spatula.
  • STEP 7.Line a paper on a baking sheet
  • STEP 8.Pour the cake batter on the pan
  • STEP 9.Bake at 370f for 10mins, then 320f for 30mins,cover with aluminium foil
  • STEP 10.Take out from oven and drop , serve
