A delicious preparation of paneer ( cottage cheese) cooked in a tomato gravy and flavoured with kasuri methi(dried fenugreek)This recipe is created with fresh Methi/fenugreek leaves, paneer and delicately flavored with aromatic spices. The methi/fenugreek leaves add a meltingly soft texture and blend perfectly with paneer (Indian cottage cheese).

Ingredients for Kasoori Methi Paneer Recipe

  • 2 teaspoon Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 2 No.s Onions finely chopped
  • 2 No.s Garlic cloves grated
  • 1 inch Ginger grated
  • 2 No.s Tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 cup Paneer cubed
  • 2 tablespoon Kasuri methi
  • As required Salt

Directions: Kasoori Methi Paneer Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.-1)in a preheated kadai add 2 tsp oil, 1 tsp cumin seeds and allow to crackle. Add 2 onions finely chopped, 2 cloves garlic grated, 1 inch ginger grated. Saute until onions are tender and translucent.

step 2

  • STEP 2.-2)after 3 to 4 minutes add 2 finely chopped tomatoes. Saute till tomatoes are soft.

step 3

  • STEP 3.-3)then add 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp turmeric (haldi) powder, 1 tsp garam masala and stir for a few seconds.

step 4

  • STEP 4.-4)add 1 cup paneer cubed, salt to taste, 2 tbsp kasuri methi and stir well to mix all the ingredients.

step 5

  • STEP 5.-5)cover the pan and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes. Kasuri methi is ready.

step 6

  • STEP 6.-6)serve hot with roti.
