Ingredients for Kashmiri Style Pulao Recipe

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice
  • 1/4 cup Milk – + 1 tsp
  • 1 cup Water – and 3/4
  • 10 Saffron – strands
  • 1 Big Onion – chopped lengthwise
  • 3/4 teaspoon Roasted jeera powder
  • As required Salt
  • As required To Temper
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee – + 1 tbsp
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 inch Cinnamon – three
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 Cardamom
  • 1 Star anise
  • As required Fruits and Dry Fruits and Nuts
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple – chopped
  • 1/2 cup Pomegranate
  • 20 No.s Cashews
  • 15 No.s Almonds – chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Raisins

Directions: Kashmiri Style Pulao Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Heat ghee in kadhai.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Add all the spices in it.

step 3

  • STEP 2.Add ginger and garlic paste and mix for further 2-3 minutes until it releases the aroma.

  • STEP 3.Now add all the vegetables, salt and give a nice mix.

step 5

  • STEP 4.Add ¼ cup of water, cover and let it cook.

  • STEP 5.Meanwhile take another pan heat ghee.

  • STEP 6.Add cashew nuts, almonds, walnuts, raisins, dates and saute for 2 minutes on low flame.

  • STEP 7.Now add paneer cubes and saute for another minute.

step 9

  • STEP 8.Add rice to the vegetable mixture.

step 10

  • STEP 9.Add sauteed dried nuts and paneer mixture.

step 11

  • STEP 1.Sprinkle lime juice and mix gently. Add saffron milk and boil for 10 minutes.
