  • 100 gram Dried Fish
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1.50 cloves Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • 5.50 Leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the dried fish in water for 30 minutes to remove excess salt.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and sauté onions, garlic, and curry leaves until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add the tamarind pulp, spices, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 4.Add the soaked dried fish and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the flavors meld together.
  • STEP 5.Serve the Karuvattu Kolzambu hot with steamed rice or dosa.
