Ingredients for Karuvattu Kolzambu (Dry Fish Curry) Recipe
100 gram Dried Fish
1 tablespoon Oil
1/2 Onion, Finely Chopped
1.50 cloves Garlic Cloves, Minced
5.50 Leaves
1 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp
1/2 teaspoon Chili Powder
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions
STEP 1.Soak the dried fish in water for 30 minutes to remove excess salt.
STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and sauté onions, garlic, and curry leaves until golden brown.
STEP 3.Add the tamarind pulp, spices, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
STEP 4.Add the soaked dried fish and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the flavors meld together.
STEP 5.Serve the Karuvattu Kolzambu hot with steamed rice or dosa.
Cooking Tips
Choose dried fish that is firm and has a pleasant aroma.
You can adjust the spiciness of the curry by adding more or less chili powder.
If the curry is too tangy, add a pinch of sugar to balance the flavors.
