  • 8-10 Green chillies
  • 1 Karonde/bengal currant bowl
  • 1/4 tablespoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tablespoon Fennel seeds
  • 1/4 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • As required Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Red chilli powder

step 1

  • STEP 1.Wash karonde/bengal currant

step 2

  • STEP 2.Cut karonde into two pieces and remove the seeds.

step 3

  • STEP 3.Cut green chillies into larger pieces.

step 6

  • STEP 4.1.heat oil in a pan.

step 7

  • STEP 5.2.add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,fennel seeds and wait until they crackle.

step 8

  • STEP 6.3.then add asafoetida powder.

  • STEP 7.4.add karone and green chillies.

step 10

  • STEP 8.5.add salt as per taste and mix well.

step 11

  • STEP 9.6.now cover it and cook it on low flame for 2-3 mins.

step 12

  • STEP 10.7.add sugar and coriander powder.

step 13

  • STEP 11.8.add turmeric powder

step 14

  • STEP 12.9.add red chilli powder and mix well.

step 15

  • STEP 13.10.cook it for 1 min on medium flame.
