Ingredients for Karanji Recipe

  • 1 cup Ghee
  • 3/4 cup sooji
  • 1/2 cup coconut powder
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon kismis
  • 2 tablespoon Almond
  • 1 tablespoon cardamom nutmeg powder
  • 2 cup All purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Water

Directions: Karanji Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take a pan and heat and add semolina to it. Cook until it turns golden brown. Cook on slow flame.
  • STEP 2.Add powdered coconut and do not overcook. Add cardamom nutmeg powder and mix well. The stuffing is ready. Add powdered sugar and mix after it cools, add almonds and kismis.
  • STEP 3.Take all-purpose flour to make the dough, add ghee and knead. Keep adding water to prepare a dough. Make the smooth consistent dough.
  • STEP 4.Take portions of dough and make small balls, roll the balls, and spread them on the platform. Fill the stuffing into the puri
  • STEP 5.Also, seal the sides using all-purpose flour slurry.
  • STEP 6.Use a cutter to give shape to the karanji. Now take a pan full of ghee and deep fry the karanji. Make as many as required and fry in batches of 5-6 at a time. Once turn golden brown in color, the ghughara are ready.
