Ingredients for Kara Chutney Recipe

  • 2 Nos onion
  • 2 Nos tomato
  • 4 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 Nos lemon size
  • 6 Nos garlic cloves
  • 10 Nos dry red chilli
  • As required Jaggery
  • pinch A asafoetida powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon urad dal
  • 4-5 Nos curry leaves

  • STEP 1.Slice onions and tomatoes

  • STEP 2.1.add sesame oil in a pressure cooker & heat it.

step 4

  • STEP 3.2.add sliced onions,tomatoes and salt as per taste

step 5

  • STEP 4.3.add tamarind, garlic cloves,dry red chilli, asafoetida powder

step 6

  • STEP 5.4.cover the lid and cook for 3 whistles

step 7

  • STEP 6.5.now rest it for 20 mins

step 8

  • STEP 7.6.grind the fried mixture into a fine paste without adding water.

step 9

  • STEP 8.7.for tadka in a pan add 1 tsp cooking oil.

step 10

  • STEP 9.8.then add mustard seeds & urad dal and fry it for 5-7 secs.

step 11

  • STEP 10.9.now turn off the flame and add curry leaves.

step 12

  • STEP 11.10.pour the tadka on top of the chutney and mix
