Ingredients for Kappa Puttu Recipe

  • 1/2 cup Tapioca peeled and grated
  • 0.38 cup Rice flour
  • 1.25 tablespoon Grated coconut

Directions: Kappa Puttu Recipe

Preparation Directions

  • STEP 1.Take 2 cups of grated tapioca.
  • STEP 2.Squeeze out with hands to remove the water coconut.

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Add to the dry grated tapioca, 1 ½ cup of rice flour.
  • STEP 2.Mix the ingredients well.
  • STEP 3.To check the consistency of the mix try to form a shape with hands. If it doesn’t break out then the mix is ready.
  • STEP 4.In a puttu maker add 1 tbsp of grated coconut to form the base layer. Then fill in alternate layers of puttu mix and grated coconut each.
  • STEP 5.Top the final layer with grated coconut and close the lid.
  • STEP 6.Steam for 10 minutes and puttu is ready to be served hot.
