  • 0.80 cup For Kanji: Water, Tablespoons Mustard Powder, Tablespoon Red Chili Powder, Salt To Taste

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak urad dal and moong dal for 4-5 hours.
  • STEP 2.Grind the soaked dal into a smooth batter, adding water as needed.
  • STEP 3.Add salt and mix well.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a pan and drop spoonfuls of the batter to make fritters.
  • STEP 5.Fry the fritters until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 6.In a large bowl, mix water, mustard powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 7.Add the fried vada to the kanji mixture and let it soak for a few hours or overnight.
  • STEP 8.Serve chilled as a refreshing drink with the soaked vada.
