  • 400 gram chinese water spinach
  • 8 Nos dried chilli peppers
  • 1 Nos shallot
  • 3 Nos garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon dried shrimps
  • 1 teaspoon dried shrimp paste
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 4 tablespoon Water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How to Make Kangkung Belacan Recipe

STEP 01

Cut and discard the stem of chinese water spinach

STEP 02

Then cut the chinese water spinach into 6 cm lengthwise,keep and rinse the stem and leaves separately,

STEP 03

Soak dried shrimps and dried chillies in water separately for 10 mins.

STEP 04

Dry toast shrimp paste at medium flame and turn it off once it begins to smoke

STEP 05

Now grind the dried shrimps,dried chillies and garlic cloves into a paste

STEP 06

Mix the shrimp pate and dried chillies ground paste together.

STEP 07

1.add oil in a pan & heat it at medium flame

STEP 08

2.then add the mixture of paste and saute it until oil separates

STEP 09

3.turn the gas at high flame and add chinese water spinach stems and water

STEP 10

4.after the gravy starts boiling add the leaves of chinese water spinach and continue stirring until they are cooked

STEP 11

5.lastly,add salt as per taste and serve.
