Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Boil the raw bananas until they are soft and mashable.
  • STEP 2.In a bowl, mash the boiled bananas and mix them with spices, ginger, garlic, and coriander leaves.
  • STEP 3.Shape the mixture into small dumplings and set aside.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a pan and fry the dumplings until they are golden brown.
  • STEP 5.In the same pan, sauté onions, ginger, and garlic until golden brown.
  • STEP 6.Add tomatoes, spices, and water to the pan and cook until the mixture thickens.
  • STEP 7.Gently add the fried dumplings to the curry and simmer until they are cooked through.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • To prevent the raw bananas from turning black, you can add a little lemon juice to the boiling water.
  • Frying the dumplings before adding them to the curry adds a crispy texture.
