Into a mixer grinder add 2 cups of soaked basmati rice, ½ grated coconut and ½ cup of toddy. Keep the batter aside in a closed vessel for 24 hours.
Next day, add 1tsp cardamom powder and mix well the batter. Grease 1 tsp ghee in a baking pan and pour in the batter.
Steam in a double steamer on a medium flame for 10 minutes. Turn off the flame after 10 minutes and serve hot delicious Kallappam.
