#mukta It's very healthy.Halwa is a dessert which is made with using some flour / nuts / lentils, sugar and ghee. This kaju halwa recipe I am sharing today is made with powdered cashew nuts or kaju as main ingredient. A recipe which actually my mother makes and somehow I never could cook the way she cooks this delicious treat.

Ingredients for Kaju halwa Recipe

  • 100 grams 200 grams
  • 25 grams Whole wheat flour
  • 1.50 tablespoon hee
  • 3 tablespoon Sugar
  • As Required For Ganishing Cardamom
  • a pinch A pinch
  • 50 grams cashew nuts powdered
  • 25 grams Whole wheat flour
  • 1.50 tablespoon Ghee
  • 3 tablespoon Sugar
  • A Few Cardamom Powder (Elaichi)
  • a pinch Saffron of (Kesar)

Directions: Kaju Halwa Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take a heavy bottomed pan and heat ghee in it.
  • STEP 2.Add whole wheat flour and powdered cashew in hot ghee. Reduce the heat to slow and keep on stirring constantly till mixture is light brown in color.
  • STEP 3.Remove it from heat and keep aside.
  • STEP 4.Boil 400ml water with sugar and saffron.
  • STEP 5.Now slowly add this water to the pan/kadahi and keep it stirring.
  • STEP 6.Once the mixture becomes quite thick and leaves the sides of the pan, add cardamom powder and mix it well.
  • STEP 7.Remove from heat and serve it hot.
  • STEP 8.Optional : Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron strands
  • STEP 9.Now slowly add this water to the pan/kadahi and keep it stirring.
  • STEP 10.Once the mixture becomes quite thick and leaves the sides of the pan, add cardamom powder and mix it well.
  • STEP 11.Remove from heat and serve it hot.
  • STEP 12.Optional : Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron strands.
  • STEP 13.Serve yummy cashwe or kaju halwa.
