  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the lentils for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Pressure cook the lentils with water, turmeric powder, and salt.
  • STEP 3.In a separate pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and asafoetida.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped raw mangoes, red chili powder, and jaggery to the pan.
  • STEP 5.Add the cooked lentils to the pan and simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • Adjust the spice level according to your preference.
  • You can add a pinch of sugar instead of jaggery if you prefer a sweeter taste.
