A dish made with cottage cheese in thick gravy and is loaded with spices. Kadai paneer is a semi dry curry made with Indian cottage cheese, onions, tomatoes, capsicum, in freshly ground kadai. It is a popular paneer recipe where paneer and bell peppers are cooked in a spicy masala. It is one of the most popular paneer recipe where as kadai is a wok ususally used for cooking in Indian household.

Ingredients for Kadhai Paneer Recipe

  • As required Kadai masala
  • 2 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 2 No.s dried red chilies
  • 4 No.s green cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 3 No.s Cloves
  • As required Kadai Paneer
  • 1 tablespoon butter unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 No.s medium red onion
  • 1 No.s green chili sliced
  • 2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 3-4 No.s medium tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 3/4 teaspoon kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 inch ginger julienned, divided
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Heavy cream
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 No.s large green bell pepper
  • 225 gram paneer cubed
  • 1 teaspoon kasuri methi
  • As required cilantro to garnish

    • STEP 1.1 heat some oil in a pan and roast all the spices on medium flame for 3-4 minutes.

    step 3

    • STEP 2.2 take the masala out and grind them into a fine powder.

    step 4

    • STEP 3.3 heat some oil and add onions to it

    step 5

    • STEP 4.4 saute them for 3 minutes and add green chillies, ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes to it.

    step 6

    • STEP 5.5 cook it for 6 minutes till the tomatoes become soft and add the prepared masala to it.

    step 7

    • STEP 6.6 add ginger and saute it for a few seconds.

    step 8

    • STEP 7.7 now add paneer and bell peppers to it. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes.

    step 9

    • STEP 8.8 add kasuri methi, give it a stir and garnish it with cilantro.
