Ingredients for Kadali Manja Recipe

  • 1 cup Chopped banana stem
  • 1/2 cup Diced potatoes
  • As required Turmeric powder
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 dry red chili
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • As required Salt
  • As required Mustard oil
  • As required Lentils dumpling
  • 1 teaspoon panch phoran
  • As required Chopped Onion

step 1

  • STEP 1.Cut the banana stem and marinate with turmeric powder and water

step 2

  • STEP 2.Drain the water and add salt

step 3

  • STEP 3.Squeeze out the excess water

step 4

  • STEP 4.Make a paste of garlic , dry chili & cumin seeds

step 5

  • STEP 5.Heat a pan with mustard oil

step 6

  • STEP 6.Fry lentils dumplings and set aside

step 7

  • STEP 7.Add 1 dry red chili and 1tsp panch phoran,let it temp

step 8

  • STEP 8.Add the banana stems and mix well

step 9

  • STEP 9.Add turmeric powder and salt to taste

step 10

  • STEP 10.Add the potatoes, mix well cover and cook until the potatoes gets soft

step 11

  • STEP 11.Add the paste prepared and mix with a cup of water

step 12

  • STEP 12.Add the fried lentil dumplings

step 13

  • STEP 13.Cook for 5 mins

step 14

  • STEP 14.Serve with rice
