About Kadai Vegetable Recipe:

  • 200 gram Cauliflower small florets steamed
  • 2 Carrots diced or sliced Nos
  • 1 inch Green beans cut into s 100 gms
  • 1 Onion diced Nos
  • 1 capsicum diced diced

  • 1 inch Ginger grated
  • 1/2 cup Cooked tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Kasuri methi
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

How to Make Kadai Vegetable Recipe

step 1

STEP 01

In a pressure cooker add 200 gm cauliflower florets, 2 carrots sliced or diced, 100 gms green beans cut into 1 inch pieces, salt to taste. Add2 tbsp of water and pressure cool for 1 whistle. Release pressure immediate;y by holding the cooker under running water. Vegetables should be cooked but firm.

STEP 01

Heat a wok or kadai, add oil for stir frying, 1 inch grated ginger, 3 grated cloves garlic, 1 diced onion and 1 diced capsicum. Stir fry on high heat for 3 to 4 minutes till the onion and capsicum slightly change colour and become tender but not completely soft.

At this stage add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, 1 tsp cardamom powder, ½ tsp salt. Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Saute for a few seconds .

Cover the pan and allow the vegetables to cook on a simmer for 5 to 7 minutes.

Lastly add 1 tbsp butter. Kadai vegetables are ready.
