  • 1/2 Cloves
  • 1/4 stick Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Onions, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 Capsicum, Cut Into Cubes
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kasuri Methi
  • as needed Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a kadai or wok. Add cumin seeds, cloves, and cinnamon stick. Saute until fragrant.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown. Then, add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy. Add the marinated chicken and cook until it is tender and cooked through.
  • STEP 5.Add chopped bell peppers, garam masala, and kasuri methi. Cook for a few more minutes until the bell peppers are slightly softened.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.

  • For a spicier version, increase the amount of red chili powder or add green chilies.
  • You can add a splash of cream or yogurt at the end to make the gravy richer and creamier.
