A bengali recipe of mixed vegetables with mustard. chkola Khosha Chochchori is a type of chochchori made from the chopped peels of kachkola (green bananas/plantains). Bengalis consume all parts of the banana plant in one form or the other and green banana recipes are some of the most loved. Ingredients for Kachkola'R Khosa Chorchori Recipe

  • 160 gram Unripe banana peels
  • 15 gram Salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 550 gram Water
  • 60 gram Potatoes
  • 60 gram Pumpkin
  • 15 gram Coconut
  • 6 piece Bori
  • 35 gram Shorshe
  • 2 piece Green chillies
  • 1 piece Dried red chilli
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kaalo jeere
  • 10 gram Sugar
  • 1 piece Green chilli
  • 30 gram Mustard oil

Directions: Kachkola'r Khosa Chorchori Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak the mustard seeds for 2 hours. In a pressure cooker add banana, turmeric banana and salt with water. Cook till one whistle. Divide the peels and bananas. Slice the peels of the bananas. Cut the vegetables and wash them. Make a paste of the soaked mustard with chillies and water.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Heat a pan with mustard oil. Fry the bori and pumpkin. Add dried red chillies, nigella seeds, Potatoes, coconuts. Mix well and fry. Add the banana, salt, turmeric, sugar, mustard paste and some water to saute. Break the bori and add some fried pumpkin and chillies. Add mustard oil and serve.
