  • 1/10 cup Jowar Flour
  • 1/20 cup Urad Dal
  • 0.03 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/20 teaspoon Eno Fruit Salt
  • as needed Water For Batter

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, mix jowar flour, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds. Add water and let it ferment overnight.
  • STEP 2.Add salt and eno fruit salt to the batter and mix well. Grease the idli molds and pour the batter into them.
  • STEP 3.Steam the idlis for about 10-12 minutes or until they are cooked through. Remove from the molds and serve hot.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to ferment the batter overnight for soft and fluffy idlis.
  • You can add grated carrots, chopped spinach, or grated coconut to the batter for added flavor and nutrition.
  • If you don't have idli molds, you can use small bowls or ramekins to steam the idlis.

Storage and Serving

  • Jowar idlis are best served hot and fresh.
