  • 1/2 cup Jowar Grains
  • 0.13 cup Lentils
  • 1/2 cup Mixed Vegetables
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 inch Ginger, Grated
  • 1 Green Chilies, Slit
  • as per your need Chopped Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Directions: Jowar And Vegetable Khichdi Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash the jowar grains and soak them in water for 4-5 hours.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, add the soaked jowar grains, lentils, mixed vegetables, turmeric powder, salt, and water.
  • STEP 3.Cook for 4-5 whistles or until the jowar grains and lentils are soft and cooked.
  • STEP 4.In a pan, heat ghee and add cumin seeds, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add the cooked jowar and lentil mixture to the pan. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve Jowar and Vegetable Khichdi hot.
