Jhol Momo!! Ultimate craving, best snack ever, simple to eat (a bit hard to make perfectly) - Momos fit into every description and it’s best eaten this way right from a tasty bowl of momo curry. Having lived on this literally for years in hostel and always been my mood lifter, love it and presenting to you for all your love.

Ingredients for Jhol Momo Recipe

  • As Required For the stuffing
  • 125 g Cabbage
  • 125 g Onion
  • 1/4 Pieces Ginger
  • 1/4 Tbsp Butter
  • As Required Salt as per taste
  • As Required For the jhol
  • 62.50 g Tomatoes
  • 1/4 Tbsp Sesame seeds
  • As Required Pepper
  • 1 Pieces Red chilli (whole)
  • A Pinch Haldi
  • As Required Salt as per taste
  • As Required Water
  • As Required For the outer cover
  • 1/2 Cups Maida
  • As Required Salt
  • As Required Water

Directions: Jhol Momo Recipe

  • STEP 1.Finely chop the cabbage add salt and keep it aside for 1/2 hour. Chop the onions. Drain out all the water from the cabbage and mix in the onion, ginger, salt and butter. Mix well.
  • STEP 2.Knead the dough and keep it aside. Take small pinch size balls and roll it into a thin circle. Put a spoonful of stuffing in between and pleat the edges to make the momo shape.
  • STEP 3.For the chutney/jhol
  • STEP 4.Finely Chop the Tomatoes, add in all the ingredients. Now in the steamer place the momos and the bowl of tomatoes. Steam for 20 mins. Blend the tomatoes in a mixer add the water to make the jhol and then add in to the steaming hot momos. Jhol momo is ready.
