Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes, then drain.
  • STEP 2.Heat ghee or oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, and bay leaf.
  • STEP 3.Add the drained rice and saut茅 for a minute, then add water and salt.
  • STEP 4.Cover and cook on low heat until the rice is cooked and fluffy.
  • STEP 5.In a separate pan, cook the lentils with water, turmeric powder, and salt until soft.
