 Japanese beef steak is a dish that hails from Japan and is made with wagyu beef. Wa means ‘Japanese’ and gyu means ‘beef’. Wagyu beef is special because it is highly marbled. It is distinguished by its high marble content. The meat includes a larger percentage of fatty acids than typical beef. The meat from the inside is flavoured, tender and juicy.  Its marbled texture makes the meat moist and mouth-wateringly. Japanese steak is very similar to western steak except for the sauce it's cooked in. It's a pan-seared recipe and the steak is made in Japanese style garlic steak sauce. The sauce is prepared by using garlic and soy sauce and tastes similar to Teriyaki sauce, a little less sweet. The sauce is a perfect balance of sweet and salty flavours. It's an easy recipe that uses flavour-rich ingredients. Japanese beef steak is a perfect blend of sweet, sour and smokey flavours that gives it a western touch in each layer.

  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Sake
  • 2 tablespoon Water
  • 2 1" thick New York steaks
  • As required salt and white pepper
  • As required Oil

  • STEP 1.Cut the garlic thinly
  • STEP 2.In a bowl mix soy sauce, sake ,and sugar
  • STEP 3.Season the steak with salt and pepper
  • STEP 4.In a pan add oil and heat on medium flame
  • STEP 5.Add garlic and fry it , set aside
  • STEP 6.Add steak and cook for 2mins
  • STEP 7.Add the sauce and coat the meat very well ,
  • STEP 8.Garnish with the fried garlic and serve
