Jalapenos Pickled Recipe

A mexican style jalapeno pickled. Fresh jalapeños are hit or miss if you want either medium-heat or mild peppers. If you are pickling fresh jalapeños at home, note that the pickling process will slightly reduce the heat of fresh peppers. Chopped pickled jalapeños can add a spark and an extra acidic note to your carnitas, salsas, and to your quesadillas. They are great in guacamole, too, especially if you do not have any limes on hand.

  • 1 pound fresh Jalapeños sliced
  • 5 carrots sliced
  • 1 whole onion quartered
  • 4 whole garlic cloves peeled
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cup Water
  • 2 cup white distilled vinegar
  • 6 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 8 whole peppercorn
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

  • STEP 1.Cut the jalapenos, onions, carrots.

  • STEP 1.In a large stock pot heat oil.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Add carrots and cook for 4 mins.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Add the jalapenos and cook for 3 mins.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Add the onions and cook for 1min.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Add water with vinegar, bay leaves, oregano, peppercorns, cloves, sugar and salt to boil.

step 7

  • STEP 1.Place in a container/store.
