  • 0.17 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 0.42 En Chilies, Finely Chopped
  • 0.17 inch Ginger, Grated

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the jackfruit seeds in water for a few hours to soften them.
  • STEP 2.Remove the outer skin of the seeds and grind them into a coarse paste.
  • STEP 3.In a mixing bowl, combine the ground jackfruit seed paste with finely chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and salt.
  • STEP 4.Mix well and shape the mixture into small patties.
  • STEP 5.Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the vadai until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 6.Serve hot with coconut chutney or tomato ketchup.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to remove the outer skin of the jackfruit seeds before grinding them.
  • You can add a pinch of asafoetida (hing) to enhance the flavor of the vadai.
