  • 1/2 cup Ripe Jackfruit, Chopped
  • 1/4 cup Jaggery
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ghee

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Remove the seeds and skin of the ripe jackfruit and chop it into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat ghee and roast the chopped jackfruit until it turns soft and slightly golden.
  • STEP 3.In another pan, melt jaggery with a little water to make a syrup. Strain the syrup to remove impurities.
  • STEP 4.Add the roasted jackfruit to the jaggery syrup and cook on low heat for a few minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add coconut milk to the mixture and simmer until it thickens to a creamy consistency.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with roasted cashews and serve the Jackfruit Payasam warm or chilled.
