Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Preheat the grill and season the meat with salt, pepper, and your choice of spices.
  • STEP 2.Grill the meat until it is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  • STEP 3.While the meat is grilling, prepare the tomato sauce by sautéing onions and garlic in olive oil, then adding tomato paste, water, and spices. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • STEP 4.Slice the pita bread into bite-sized pieces and toast them in the oven until crispy.
  • STEP 5.To assemble the Iskender Kebab, place the toasted pita bread on a plate, top with the grilled meat, and pour the tomato sauce over it.
