  • 1/25 cup Semolina
  • 1/25 cup Yogurt
  • 0.08 cup Water
  • 1/50 cup Grated Carrots
  • 0.17 tablespoon Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 0.17 Green Chilies, Finely Chopped
  • 1/25 inch Ginger, Grated
  • As required Salt To Taste

Directions: Instant Ragi Idli Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine ragi flour, semolina, yogurt, and water to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Add grated carrots, chopped coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger, and salt to the batter. Mix well.
  • STEP 3.Grease the idli plates with oil and pour the batter into each cavity.
  • STEP 4.Steam the idlis in a steamer for about 10-12 minutes or until they are cooked through.
  • STEP 5.Once done, remove the idlis from the steamer and let them cool for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Gently remove the idlis from the plates using a spoon and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.

  • You can add finely chopped vegetables like capsicum, peas, or corn to the batter for added nutrition and flavor.
  • To make the idlis more fluffy, you can add a pinch of baking soda to the batter.
